Sugar Cookies / Pareve

Sugar Cookies
 Kosher // Pareve

These sugar cookies are simple to make, with a quick prep time, and a quick bake time ...I made them during the time my challah bread yeast was frothing up (about 10 minutes of prep time).

Ingredients
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a second bowl, stir together the margarine and sugar until smooth.
Beat in egg and vanilla to butter mixture.
Next blend in the flour mixture.
Roll dough into small balls and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.
Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

*Note: we added a m&m to the center of each cookie prior to baking*
